EDH is a great format IMO. that being said the best way to make an EDH deck is to start by picking a win condition or color sachem that you enjoy. once youve done this search gatherer for general that works for your choice. after that its just a matter of picking 99 other cards that support this general, keep in mind that everyone else is bound by the same rules that you are and see what you you can do with it. it may take some trial and err to do it well but i enjoy this format.
